You’ll find Kahere Retreat on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island.
Driving directions from Hokitika
Head south on State Highway 6 and enjoy an incredibly scenic 1.5-hour drive towards Franz Josef. Once you pass Lake Mapourika, drive another 2km and you will cross Potters Creek. We are just past the bridge on the left-hand side of the road.
Driving directions from Franz Josef
Take State Highway 6 out of Franz Josef heading north towards Hokitika. We are just a five minute drive out of town on the right-hand side of the road. When you turn off the highway you will see our wooden chalets with green roofs.
If you find yourself crossing Potters Creek, you’ve gone too far!
